What makes Palm Springs a great place to live, work, and play?

Great facilities, amenities, and making sure we take care of the basics that people need to not just go about their daily lives but to be proud of their community.

  • This October 22nd, we will be celebrating the grand opening of our state-of-the-art animal shelter, which replaces a crowded facility and will be a better home for animals, adoption, and pet care. The community stepped up to not just get this built, but to contribute time, effort and money to make it a facility that is one of the best in the region.
  • We are also proud to have earlier this year broken ground on the College of the Desert’s western campus in Palm Springs. This facility will be proudly sustainable with LEED certification and will be an amenity for residents seeking continuing education, students who are nearby, and businesses who will benefit from their curriculum.
  • In collaboration with Riverside County and other Coachella Valley cities, the opening of Roy’s Resource Center is a demonstration of our community’s commitment to serve the less privileged.

These are just a few recent examples of how we’ve made a positive difference in our quality of life. Along with an actively-involved community, an open and accessible City Hall, and a wealth of non-profit organizations centered around resident needs, I think Palm Springs residents can be proud of their home.
